Quito Festival | 15:00
The foundation of Quito, capital of Ecuador, is on December 6th. The whole city feels alive during this day, with concerts, parties, exhibitions, theatre shows and traditional games.
- We will visit the presidential the seat of government of the Republic of Ecuador: Palacio de Carondelet.
- Then, we will have a tour througth an emblematic museum: Museo de la Ciudad. Here, participants will be able to learn about Quito’s traditions, arts and culture.

Transportation to Yachay Tech Campus, Urcuquí
People staying at Hosteria Chorlavi and Rancho Carolina will be picked up from their hotels at 9h50.
People staying at Hosteria El Totoral, Quinta San Miguel, San Andres Lodge & Spa, Real Dream Hostel and Hotel El Callejon should take a taxi from their hotels to Laguna Mall. Please be at Laguna Mall at 9h15. At 9h15 Yachay Tech’s bus will pick you up and bring you to the university campus.
*Please make sure you have all your suitcases packed with you in the morning since we are living in the afternoon to Quito directly from Yachay Tech.

MISCELLANEOUS
Once you arrive to Quito’s airport, you can take a taxi outside the international arrival. Usually the rate is 25,00 USD from the airport to most hotels in Quito.
Quito’s weather can be a little chilly in the morning around 16°C, in the afternoon temperatures are around 27°C, and in the night temperatures are around 14°C.
Yachay Tech is located in Urcuquí, a valley which it’s average temperature is around 25°C.
Please bring sunblock, mosquito repelent, heavy jackets are not quite necessary.
Ibarra’s weather is also around 25°C and in the night temperature can drop to the 14°C.
