¡Join us in the middle of the world!
Here in Yachay Tech, a new research-oriented university in Ecuador, we are trying to construct the activities on astroparticle physics in wide sense.
In South America, various experimental activities on cosmology and astroparticle physics are going on. They include ALMA telescope, Pierre Auger highest energy cosmic ray array, and even further down to the south, IceCube which discovered neutrinos from outside our galaxy.
Furthermore in Chile, an International gamma ray telescope, CTA, is to be constructed.
Ecuador, located in between these observatories and United States/Europe, provides
a comfortable base to these experimental activities while having good commutation with advanced institutions in the northern hemisphere.
